Future of Quantum and VR (2024-25)

Shaping the future of education on a national scale

At SURF, the cooperative for Dutch education and research, I worked on emerging technologies and their impact on education. My focus was on shaping the vision for future XR activities and exploring quantum communication. I conducted research on emerging technologies to drive educational innovation, organized key workshops, and outlined strategic directions for the future of education

OUTCOME
  • Designed an interactive workshop at the Immersive Tech Week’24—alongside the National Research Institute for Mathematics and Computer Science (CWI) and the National Library (KB). The workshop brought together 30+ participants to rethink digital archives through immersive tech. We worked hands-on with historic collections and explored new ways of experiencing the past.
  • Built an internal vision and strategy document on XR activities for SURF
  • Authored a white paper on the future of quantum communication and its impact on education in the future.
